Weddings are such a wonderful opportunity to be creative and make a statement about ourselves. How lucky am I to help you do that?? I am blessed to be able to share such incredibly special moments in peoples’ lives. And recently relocated back to the Pittsburgh area from Los Angeles, I am excited to do so in my own hometown!

I’ll put it in words, but you’ll learn more by paging through my archives to see sneak peeks of each of my engagement sessions and weddings. I share quite a number of photos here, because I believe one of the most important criterion in choosing a wedding photographer is seeing comprehensive sample weddings. Lots of photographers can get great shots now and then, but your wedding is too important of a day to take a risk on getting a good shot, right?

I shoot with a fine art photojournalistic style. What does that mean? Throughout the main events, think newspaper coverage... telling the story of your day as it unfolds, capturing rich emotion and joy! But I don’t rely just on chance, to create beautiful artistic images of the bride and groom on their wedding day. I make it happen, setting aside time with my couples to capture images of their love in beautiful, creative ways. Just like in your engagement session, but in a fancy dress and Manolo Blahniks! Fun stuff. This is my time to show you in your best light- with beautiful, carefully crafted photographs.

The Sheerer Family! ~~ Pittsburgh Family Photographer

This photoshoot was a long time coming! Back in 2008 I donated a photoshoot and print to a silent auction… which the Sheerer family won! Unfortunately the Sheerer kids have very busy schedules… so trying to coordinate college vacations, different high school sports schedules, and work demands turned out to be a serious challenge. So we were finally able to squeeze in an hour this summer! I’d say it was worth the wait, because we had a lot of fun, and ended up with some very cool photos. Enjoy a handful of my favorites! All images were taken at the Pittsburgh Field Club in Fox Chapel…

I absolutely LOVED these columns and had to use them in a couple of photos…

And how perfect that there were exactly four rocking chairs sitting there? These kids had no problem making each other laugh…

Gotta love a little sun flare!

Mom wanted to get a shot in front of the flowers, but we had to avoid Kelly’s dress getting dirty… so here was our solution. I’d say they had some fun with it.
